People usually exclaim that they want to be fit and healthy, and yet they do not exert effort to support this statement. Unfortunately, they are not really determined in their attempts and are bent on making excuses at times when they fail to make their attempts. You cannot be serious to be healthy if you go to the grocery and buy all the junk food and sweets that you like for stocking in your cabinet, ready whenever you like to eat them. If you are the type who cannot control oneself in eating what you store in your cupboard, then having this kind of food is a bad idea.
Your next guideline is generally to start making healthier food choices. There are foods that you refuse to categorize as junk but you know that these are bad for you. Generally, many ready meals are not healthy for you, and so it is advisable that you prepare your food yourself. It is good to know what you are putting into your body and you can start by learning to read nutritional labels like the content of sodium and sugar. Make sure you eat lots and lots of vegetables like broccoli, kale and spinach, while at the same time being watchful for more starchy vegetables. Although we are not saying to live on vegetables and salads alone, the main idea is to get plenty of portions of these every day to fill you up.
Humans are built to be moving around and not sit the whole day, so it is advisable to choose an exercise that you like and get on with it. Being on the treadmill for many hours is not what we mean here, but rather, advising you to choose an exercise that you like and stick to doing it. Perhaps you may want to visit a dance studio to try dancing, or play a sport you can tackle, or do meditation, and other different kinds of exercise that you like best and find enjoyable enough to stick to it.
